Pastel Gradient
It's a little fiddly and not something I'll be doing every day but I'm a little bit obsessed with gradient nails now I know how easy they are!! You can buy sponges specifically made for nail art but any sponge will do, you literally just stipple a contrasting colour on to your dry base polish and build it up for an ombre/gradient effect. I will do a step by step for those still totally lost but this was one of my first attempts, I'm telling you, it's easy! One of those things that it's almost better if you're messy!
I used a selectoin of new pastels from the Maybelline Spring collection, L-R - Pink in The Park, Mint For Life, Sunkissed, Sea Sky. For anything arty I want colours that will last and these Superstay formulas are some of the most chip resistant polishes I own. For the most part you can get a good bottle-opaque finish with 2 coats and expect a good few days of wear without chipping but for most of us 7 would be a stretch. All in all a great mani idea for those days when you can't choose a colour or just want something a little different but that wont take all day and is tough to get wrong!
