Dotty For This Polka Bardot
I wore this top in a vlog a few days ago and I've had so many questions about it since! As it happens I'd already enlisted the help of my eldest child to take some snaps of it that day so for those of you wondering where it was was from.. tada! - here's the link.

I picked it up while we were in Birmingham earlier this month with Emma and Chris, they had tons of bardot styles and I could have taken them all but this was just a little different to the hoards I already have in my wardrobe and it felt like it could be dressed up while still feeling summery and cool. I love it. I never know what to wear in summer, most of my clothes are geared towards the Winter months so it's nice to find something I'm comfortable in that doesn't flash too much flesh. Not quite work appropriate but covered enough to wear to say, a school leavers assembley.. which is where I went shortly after these pictures were taken.Honestly, I can't believe I have an (almost) 12 year old!! I'm ordering her new school kit this week, measuring her for a blazer, agreeing on what constitutes appropriate footwear, bags.. it's all change. Milo is going up in to year 1 which is very exciting but just doesn't compare really, he couldn't wait to get to school for his last day this morning though. I seem to remember Ella asking my Mum one day in the summer holidays (she might have been 5) whether she would take her to school because I wasn't. She obviously thought I'd just forgotten about this daily committment but it always comes to me on days when they're either really enthusiastic to go or can't think of anything worse.

So the school holidays cometh, blog wise I wouldn't be surprised if you saw more content from me than ever before while the kids are off. I'm wired up in such a way that I work best when I have absolutely no time to work. Not ideal but at least I'm self-aware, I guess.
